Stop the overthinking anxiety spirals and get your life back.

Therapy for anxiety in Little Rock and online across Arkansas

It seems like you’ve always felt this way, but lately anxiety has really taken a toll.

Anxious thoughts and feelings have gotten so overwhelming, it’s hard to feel present with your friends, your partner, your kids. The anxiety derails your train of thought, and you can’t keep track of what you’re working on.

Sleeping well seems like a distant memory, if it ever really existed.

Little stresses have started to activate GO mode- you know, the racing heart, clammy hands, and so much brain noise. You’re often on edge, and it’s too easy to snap at the people you’re closest to.

You know how this brain-circus goes…

  • You’re plugging along at work when a Teams message pops up-

your boss wants to talk to you later. *cue internal panic and daymares of being broke*. That presentation will have to finish itself while you mentally spin out over having to find a new job.

  • You lay down in bed after a long day, hoping to relax and drift off to sleep.

Ha! Nope. Actually, your brain has prepared a slide show of the cringiest moments of the day, and has thrown in some Most Embarrassing Moments from High School just to spice things up.

  • Speaking of spicing things up, you and your partner finally have some down time over the weekend...

…but you couldn’t be less interested in sex. You realize the weeks of anxiety have begun to truly suck every ounce of energy out of you.

  • A friend ends a text with a period, and you suddenly feel sick...

… your brain quickly decides she’s clearly tired of you, and probably annoyed by your very existence. You can’t believe you bothered trying to have friends as an adult!

Something’s gotta give.

Imagine…

  • waking up with some energy, because your brain actually let you fall asleep last night.
  • really listening to your second grader tell you about his day at school while you make dinner.
  • work going more smoothly– even when your boss wants a chat, you’re able to clock the “am I getting fired???” anxiety, and get back to the task at hand.

Imagine feeling more comfortable in your skin, more confident in your relationships, and more fulfilled in your romantic life. This is possible.

How therapy for anxiety can help you

  • Learn what “mindfulness” looks like for you, and how to use it to your advantage (yes, even you, ADHD’er!)
  • Practice giving yourself the same kindness and compassion you offer others
  • Feel more connected in your body, rather than spinning out in your head
  • Recognize anxiety’s patterns and learn how to disrupt them
  • Feel more present in your life, like you’re actually participating in it, not just surviving
  • Enjoy feeling connected with family and friends, and even yourself.
    • yeah, even enjoy your own company!

What does therapy for anxiety look like?

While people with anxiety can have similar symptoms, your unique experience of anxiety matters.

Together, we’ll map out the ways your anxiety is disrupting your life, what you’ve tried that hasn’t helped, and how you’re wanting your life to be different.

You’ll learn and practice new skills in session with me, and experiment with them in real life between appointments. We’ll brainstorm and strategize on what feels most workable for you and break things down into manageable, try-able pieces.

I always want to hear from you on what seems to be helping, and where you’re feeling stuck. Even things you’ve tried before might be more workable with slight tweaks! And if something feels like an absolute NO for you, then- okay! Heard.

You’re living your life, and I’m here to help you make this phase of it more enjoyable.

It‘s possible to calm anxiety. Let’s get started.
